Peter Cohos - Principal

Peter Cohos - Principal

Peter Cohos founded Tonko Realty Advisors' predecessor, Copez Realty Advisors, in 1985 and he remains a significant driving force behind Tonko's ongoing growth and success. In addition to providing leadership and direction for Tonko's asset management operations, Peter shares responsibility for evaluating new commercial real estate opportunities with long-time business partner, Robert Proud. His extensive and varied real estate career is augmented by his Honours degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the University of Capetown in South Africa.

Rob Proud

Robert Proud - Principal

Robert ("Rob") Proud joined Tonko's predecessor, Copez Realty Advisors in 1990. With over 25 years' experience in the commercial real estate industry, Rob has extensive, international expertise at an executive level, specializing in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development and finance. Rob is a major driving force behind the company's overall growth and expansion and shares responsibility for evaluating new commercial real estate opportunities with Peter Cohos. He has an Honours degree in Business Administration and an MBA, both from the University of Western Ontario.

Sandy Cruikshank

Sandy Cruickshank - Executive Vice-President

Sandy is responsible for overseeing the leasing, asset and property management functions for Tonko's British Columbia portfolio. He is accountable for delivering first class real estate services to tenants and clients across all product types, including office, industrial, retail, and new developments. Sandy's role expanded in January 2008 to include the responsibility to oversee the development and implementation of new and existing corporate initiatives to provide "best in class" operational standards throughout all regions of the company. Sandy joined Tonko in January 2005 bringing with him 25+ years of diverse commercial real estate expertise, having held senior positions in a two of North America's largest commercial real estate organizations. Sandy holds a diploma in Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia.

David Burt

David Burt - Senior Vice-President

David is responsible for internal corporate, and external financial and reporting requirements which support the extensive asset and property management services Tonko delivers for its clients. Since joining Tonko in 1998, David has held increasingly responsible roles in real estate accounting and finance. Previously he was Controller for various major property development corporations with extensive portfolios in Canada and the U.S. David earned his Chartered Accountant designation in Ontario and has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.

Scott Sharples

Scott Sharples - Senior Vice-President

Scott is responsible for overseeing the leasing, asset and property management functions for Tonko's Alberta and Saskatchewan portfolios. He is accountable for maximizing asset performance and for providing strategic direction at the property and corporate level. Scott joined Tonko in January 2008 and has over 15 years experience in the leasing and management of commercial real estate. He brings extensive expertise in the office, industrial, and retail asset classes. Scott has worked previously in brokerage and for various institutional ownership and management structures including third-party property management, pension fund advisory services, and Canada's largest diversified REIT. Scott obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
