Our Communities

Tonko helps make good things happen

The members of the Tonko team are proud to give back to the communities in which we work.  We encourage and empower our employees to be engaged with their communities - whether through volunteering for not-for-profit organizations, providing leadership to youth teams, or raising money for agencies in need. 

• Tonko social events often have a component of raising funds for charities.
• Tonko organizes time off throughout the year for employees to volunteer at local charities. These initiatives are a way for our employees to “give back” to our communities while gaining the teambuilding benefits of working with fellow employees they may not normally interact with.
• If an employee is involved in a leadership role on a youth team, Tonko donates to the team.  We recognize the time and energy that employees invest in the youth in their communities.

In addition to numerous community sports teams and leagues, Tonko has partnered with the following organizations for three year sponsorship commitments that enable each charity to plan ahead for growth and development:

• Habitat for Humanity
• The Calgary Inter Faith Food Bank
• The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society
• The Edmonton Food Bank
